I've been a loyal customer to Whole Foods since they came to Philly, way before Amazon bought them, I must say now I shop Whole Foods exclusively fo all my groceries. Whole Foods core values are not just marketing fluff- they practice what the preach https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/mission-values/core-values Why do I give 5 stars? 1) Quality! Vegetables and fruit are as fresh as you can get without going to the farmers market. My understanding is Whole Foods gets their produce directly from their vendors ( local too) and not from some distributor that got the shipment from the farm that sent it to the distributor that sent it to the grocery store warehouse then the store. They are also selective on the produce quality, fair trade and support of local farms Organic or not organic my produce tastes better and stores fresh longer. I've experienced this with other grocers near me that my organic lemons turned white in 2 days after purchasing- and not a significant cost difference. Also taste was not fresh. 2)Meats and Seafood- trust the quality! They rate their meat and seafood. The meat department gave butchers that are knowledgeable about cuts and how to cook meats. Seafood is carefully managed and inaccurate. Grass fed meats are available and all seafood is sourced with quality methods. Taste the difference... 3) 365 Brand- quality and smart price! Their genetic brand as a whole is great tasting, clean ingredients and good value. Chips, pasta, spaghetti sauce, dairy. 4) Knowledge and customer service! How many tome you go to the other grocery store md and you cat find someone to help and then you stand in line at customer service? Or how many times you ask a person stocking the shelves about a product or produce or meat cut and they have no clue what you are talking about ? Whole Foods people know their products and are trained and expected to know. Simple business 101. Love the produce seafood and meat dept at Wynnewood. Staff walking around are super-helpful go beyond to help you find what you need. 5) Amazon and Prime membership I know people call Whole Foods - "whole Paycheck"!- Can't beat the 5% cash back on my Wholefoods purchase + extra 10% on sale items. They gave so many things on sale- these saje items fulfill My weekly shopping list and meal menu . Amazon's infrastructure for distribution , logistics and pricing and technology they are trying to get the best products, best price and fast efficient to customers . During the pandemic - Amazon made it made it so easy to get my food deliver easy. My catalyst to write this finally is they have Federal Donuts counter - BtW not only are the donuts delish- my latte was spot on delish . For people who like most commercial brands I understand your desire to go to other grocers. can't beat 10/$10 deals. Yes - Whole Foods have some mega deals too. Food for thought if your lifestyle is clean food eating or clean health products - Whole Foods is the best pricing, customer experience. I look Forward to shopping at Whole Foods every week !
